There will be a roundtable discussion in Owen Sound this Friday on some of the federal government's proposed changes to tax planning measures.
Bruce-Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller is hosting the roundtable. He says it's in response to concerns raised by a number of business owners, physicians, farmers, and other stakeholders.
Representatives from each of the affected sectors have been invited to take part.
The federal proposals would increase the amount of taxes many physicians and other professionals pay. If implemented, it could have a major cost impact on patients and clients, as well as on governments and businesses, such as insurance companies.
The roundtable is scheduled for Friday from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the Best Western Inn on the Bay in Owen Sound.
