Bruce Power Publishes Licence Renewal Booklet

Bruce Power is starting a public information process as part of it's licence renewal next year.

The company has released a booklet in advance of the 2018 Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission hearings.

The commission will hold a two-part public hearing next year on Bruce Power's application to renew its Bruce A and Bruce B operating licence for a period of ten years.

The 2018 Licence Renewal Briefing provides an overview of Bruce Power and outlines public engagement in the upcoming hearings.

There's a Facebook group, webinars, and in-person engagement sessions to involve the community in this process.

The first public meeting is Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm at the Bruce Power Visitors' Centre. No registration is required.

There's another one scheduled for Thursday, October 5 from 6pm-8pm at the Kincardine Davidson Centre, and a third public meeting on Tuesday, November 2 from 6pm-8pm at the Port Elgin Legion.

The Facebook group will have the latest news on Bruce Power's re-licensing journey: https://www.facebook.com/groups/licencerenewal2018/
