Two people were taken to hospital following two separate collisions in Owen Sound.
The Owen Sound Police Service says on Friday around 7:15am, a 43-year-old woman riding a bicycle was clipped by a Freightliner stake truck on 6th St. E near 5th Ave. E. The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.
The driver of the truck, a 60-year-old Owen Sound man, has been charged with failing to turn to avoid a collision.
Later on Friday at around 2:15pm, a small motorcycle was struck by a minivan that was turning into a parking lot on 2nd Ave. E near 7th St. E. The motorcyclist, a 65-year-old Owen Sound man, was treated for minor injuries in hospital and released.
The driver of the van, a 74-year-old Lion’s Head man, has been charged with making an unsafe left turn.
