The Wellington North Fire Chief’s Gala raised $30,000 for the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.
This is the third year for the gala, hosted by Fire Chief David Guilbault.
The money is earmarked for a safe room at the hospital where difficult patients can be seen by staff, separate from other patients. And a rosy financial statement has been issued by the 2017 Mount Forest Homecoming Committee.
The Committee showed almost $12,000 profit on the June event which cost $133,000.
Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox and other members of council praised the committee for a very successful homecoming.
