Recent test results have resulted in some beach closures in Huron County.
Ashfield, Goderich Main, and St. Joseph's beaches have been posted unsafe for swimming.
The Huron County Health Unit posts beaches that exceed the provincial standard for safe levels of E. coli, which is over 100 colony forming units per 100 mL of water.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit has not posted any beaches as unsafe, but if it used the same safety standards as Huron, four of the eight beaches tested would be closed.
However, Grey Bruce uses the Health Canada Limit of 400 CFU per 100 mL.
