Man Charged For Driving 60 km/hr Over Limit

A Tobermory man is facing charges after a vehicle was clocked travelling 139 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone in the Township of South Bruce Peninsula.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Thursday around 5pm, officers spotted the speeding red 1996 Cadillac on Hwy. 6 between Limberlost Rd. and Hardmans Lane.

A 22-year-old driver from Tobermory has now been charged with racing a motor vehicle and two counts of driving while under suspension.

Police have seized and impounded the vehicle for seven days and the man's driver's licence has also been suspended for seven days.
