The first five steps of an Ausable Bayfield Conservation Shoreline Management Plan are done.
Water and Planning Manager Alec Scott says that included two public meetings in Zurich and Thedford that were well attended.
And between September and March they will consult with municipalities to develop a process for moving forward with any proposed revisions to development guidelines.
Consultants are also working on updating considerations for shore protection structures.
Scott adds they'll be going back to the public next summer with a draft Shoreline Management Plan and any new information from open houses will go back to the ABCA board in the fall.
