Minto has agreed to sell three acres of industrial land in Palmerston for the cultivation of medical marijuana.
The buyer, Krosinski Enterprises Inc., paid the asking price of $45,000.
The proposal is for three 5,000 sq ft buildings, including two greenhouses.
The company will also grow recreational cannabis when it becomes legal.
If approved, the Palmerston operation will employ eight people initially, and that could expand in the future.
There will a public meeting on the proposal later this year.
