North Perth Fundraising Campaign Begins For Memorial Park Walkway

A fundraising campaign is underway for Memorial Park walkway and lighting improvements in Listowel.

The project aims to install a new concrete and stonedust walkway, along with enhanced LED lighting.

The fully accessible walkway will involve a complete loop around the Maitland River in the park. The lighting will enhance security for users.

The project is expected to be completed by this fall.

North Perth received $109,000 from the Canada 150 Infrastructure program, and is kicking in $118,000 in municipal funding.

The Memorial Park Rehabilitation Committee hopes to raise the final third of the project cost.

Donors can sponsor the walkway for $2,500 and choose between a recognition plaque, or memorial plaque.  You can also name the new bridge for $30,000.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of the walkway or learning more about the fundraising campaign, visit the North Perth website by clicking here.  You can also contact Nicole at the Municipal Office at 519-292-2054 or [email protected].
