With summer moving into full swing. the Huron County Health Unit is reminding families to remember sun safety.
Ultraviolet radiation causes sunburn, skin cancer and eye damage.
Children are most at risk as they often spend more time outdoors when the suns rays are stongest.
The Health unit suggests limiting sun exposure between 11 am and 3pm.
Seek shade, or make shade with an umbrella.
Cover up with lightweight clothing, and wear sunglasses.
Use an SPF 30 sunscreen and reapply often.
