The Huron Residential Hospice Committee announced it has now signed a purchase agreement for the house and property on Hwy. 8 across from the Woodlands Golf Course near Clinton.
Fund-raising campaign chair Gwen Devereaux says support for the hospice project has been amazing as people recognize the need for a residential hospice and the great opportunity this is.
Devereaux says they hope to take possession of the property at the end of August and have the hospice open by March of 2018.
She points out there are a lot of renovations that need to be done after they take possession of the home, because along with provincial funding comes the obligation to meet provincial standards to ensure they're fully accredited.
