2017 Marks Inaugural Season of the Midwestern Ontario Senior Baseball League

This is the first year for the Midwestern Ontario Senior Baseball League.

Like-minded senior baseball teams in Midwestern Ontario were looking to promote competitive baseball for teams from "AA" to "A" and decided to form the new league.

The founding teams are: the Listowel Legionnaires, Kincardine Cubs, Mitchell Astros, Hanover Hitmen, Ingersoll Blue Jays, Woodstock Nationals, St. Thomas Cardinals, London Area Angels, Lucan Irish Nine and the Byron Storm.

The schedule will see the teams play 18 home-and-home games with the top eight teams competing in a playoff style tournament. That tournament is August 18th-20th in Listowel.

The teams will also play in the OBA Provincial Championships on the Labour Day Weekend.

The Midwestern Ontario Senior Baseball League schedule begins May 5th when the Listowel Legionnaires host the Mitchell Astros at 7:30 p.m.
