Construction of the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex is on schedule and on budget.
Recreation Director Steve Hardie reports that the footings and foundations are complete, and assembly of the pre engineered structure and block work is underway.
The multi use complex is expected to open by the end of the year.
That includes a lit soccer field, green space and parkland development.
There will also be a regulation ice surface, 750 seats, a walking track, lobby, community room, kitchen and six dressing rooms
The funding comes from a segregated surplus, parkland reserves, development charges, grants, donations and financing.
So far people have contributed over $5 million to help make the project a reality.
