The Ontario Federation of Agriculture representative for Grey Bruce says closing schools hurts the ability to attract agricultural workers.
Patrick Jilesen says not only farm workers are needed, but employees for all the related agricultural support industries.
"Without a school there it's one less reason to come to the area, so on top of all those good things about being a place to live and grow and a wonderful place to be in Grey and Bruce County we need our schools to be here as well to finish the puzzle," says Jilesen.
He made the comments as part of his presentation to the annual Politicians Meeting on the weekend in Elmwood.
