The Huron Arts and Heritage Network is now accepting nominations for their Huron Cultural Awards event.
Awards will be presented in five categories including Cultural Event or Organization, Individual Artist, Community Contribution, Heritage, and Innovation.
Cultural Development Officer Rick Sickenger says there is also the annual Warden's Award which recognizes an outstanding individual from all of the five categories. He compares that to a lifetime achievement award, and it is presented by the warden.
Nomination forms and award guidelines can be downloaded at creativehuron.ca or at any Huron County Library branch.
The deadline for nominations is April 5. The eighth annual Cultural Awards Gala is Friday, April 21 at the Bayfield Town Hall.
