The 30th Elementary School Provincial Curling Tournament is coming to Chesley next week.
The ice at the Chesley Arena is being transformed into six sheets of curling ice for the event.
Co-Chair Peter Knipfel says generous sponsorships made the event possible.
"The title sponsor is New Holland. We have a local New Holland, Roberts Farm Equipment here in Chesley and they approached New Holland who already sponsors curling. I think you see their logos at the Brier and at the Scotties etc...so they are already involved with curling so it was a nice fit and they helped us fund it."
Knipfel says the Elementary School Provincial Tournament hasn't been hosted in Chesley for 15 years.
"It's hosted throughout the province. You have to bid for it and we were successful bidders for it."
