The request came from the Mount Forest Homecoming Committee, which is making plans to celebrate June 23-25.
The committee is working to create "curb appeal" for the thousands of visitors expected in town for the homecoming.
Events already confirmed include a Lions Club homecoming bingo, firefighters pajama breakfast, a homecoming parade, school open house and reunions, dances, and kids events.
