The Attack Beat the Otters

Owen Sound 4 Erie 2

Jonah Gadjovich struck twice including the game winner late in the second as the Owen Sound Attack doubled the Western Conference leading Erie Otters 4-2.

The Otters were leading 2-0 midway through the second when the Attack scored three goals in under a minute. Gadjovich scored on the power play at 16:12, Cordell James fired one in at 16:48 and Gadjovich scored the game winner at 17:06.

Petrus Palmu scored on an empty Otters net at 18:13 of the third to make it 4-2.

The Attack out shot the Otters 42-25. Michael McNiven earned the win with 23 saves.

The Attack are tied in the points race with second place Sault Ste. Marie at 85 in the tight Western Conference race but sit fourth behind London who has 87 points and three fewer loses than the Attack. The Soo have one more win than the Knights. Erie still leads the conference with 91 points.

London 8 Guelph 1

JJ Piccinich set up three of the Knights eight goals as London beat Guelph 8-1.

The Knights chased Anthony Popovich from net after he allowed six goals on 21 shots. Liam Herbst stopped eight of 10 goals in relief.

Sam Miletic was awarded first star honours for scoring twice for London. Janne Kuokkanen scored and set up two more for a three point night.
