Councillor for Bayfield has Budget Wish List

Bluewater council is still very early in the budget process but the councillor for Bayfield ward says he's already got a fairly lengthy list of things village residents would like to see.

Bill Whetstone says concerns range from larger items like sewage capacity and the facilities review to smaller, more aesthetic issues like cleaning up the path at the bottom of Mara Street that takes people from the main street down to the beach. Whetstone says the concern there is the path keeps getting washed out. He adds people would like to see something with the big cement blocks that prevent people from driving right onto the beach and he suggests just painting them would improve the appearance.

Whetstone adds there are number of small beautification things that wouldn't cost much but would make the village a more welcoming place for tourists.

Whetstone says because it's still so early in the process there are no dollar figures attached to any of the requests.
