Winter Weather Continues To Challenge Motorists

South Bruce OPP urge motorists to always check weather and travel conditions before heading out on the road.

Blowing and drifting snow continues to make driving challenging on Tuesday.

The strong winds and heavy snow created hazardous driving conditions on the weekend, with ten collisions reported to the detachment between Friday and Sunday, and 19 other vehicles going into the ditch. Fortunately no one was hurt.

But with another weather system on the way tonight, the OPP are reminding drivers to go slow in snow.

It’s best to carry a winter survival kit with you when you travel including warm clothes, snacks, a candle and matches.

A Colorado Low is moving toward Ontario, bringing up to 10 cm of snow to our region overnight, before it changes to rain tomorrow.
