MPP To Host Public Meetings With Hydro One Ombudsman

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson will be hosting two public meetings this week with Ontario Hydro One Ombudsman Fiona Crean.

The meetings on Thursday will help answer questions residents have regarding their hydro bills.

The first meeting is at the Goderich Knights of Columbus Hall from 3pm to 4:30pm Thursday afternoon.

The second will be held at the Walkerton Agricultural Society Boardroom that same evening, from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Both public meetings will feature remarks from Thompson and Crean, followed by a question-and-answer session.

"Ontario has some of the highest hydro rates in North America, with Hydro One customers officially paying the most as of 2016. There is a constant stream of residents who come to me with questions and concerns about the costs of hydro and it is my job to ensure they are heard," said Thompson in a news release. "I look forward to this event, and look forward to providing an opportunity for residents to speak personally with Ontario's Hydro One ombudsman."
