A record 3,030 homes changed hands in Grey Bruce in 2016, which is a 16% increase over 2015's record.
According to RAGBOS the average price of homes sold in December 2016 was $263,545, up 7.7 % year over-year. The annual average price was $259,284 which was an increase of 5.9 % from a year earlier.
The Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound says supply struggles to keep up to the strong demand, meaning historically tight market conditions.
The 782 active listings as of the end of December, is down 37% from the same time last year, and the lowest level of supply ever recorded.
