Midwestern

UPDATE: More Snow Friday And Saturday

There's plenty of work today for the operators of snow plows and any other heavy equipment in Midwestern Ontario.

Snow continues to fall across the region, with several intense squall lines moving inland from the lake.

Blowing snow will be a problem for drivers in some areas due to gusty winds and the amount of snow that has piled up. There is more snow in the forecast for Friday afternoon and evening as well.

Plows are all out, but the county roads departments, the MTO and the OPP are advising drivers take it slow.

Roads are generally snow covered, snow packed and slushy.  There's heavy drifting on secondary roads. Visibility can be poor at times in snow streamers that continue to move inland from the lake.

A snow squall warning, which had been in effect for most of Friday, has ended for Bruce, Grey, Huron, Perth and Wellington counties. All snow squall watches have ended as well.
