Midwestern Ontario residents are being warned to stock up, fill up, and limber up. There's going to be a lot of snow to move in the next few days.
The impact of a blast of cold Arctic air will start later today and Tuesday night with isolated snow squalls near Lake Huron and southern Georgian Bay.
Blowing snow, squalls and very cold temperatures will continue through Wednesday, tomorrow night, and Thursday.
With the cold northwest flow over the open lake and bay, the moisture and heat underneath could feed a "conveyor belt" of snow that will pile up quickly on areas south and east of the shore.
Depending on the movement of the squalls, some areas could get up to 30 cm by Thursday.
