Busy Friday For Plows And Sanders

Give yourself extra time for travelling on Friday.

The major routes across Midwestern Ontario are reported as being centre-bare and snow-packed with slushy sections.  Secondary roads are snow-covered and slippery, with drifted sections.

Visibility ranges from good to poor, depending on the location of isolated off-lake snow streamers.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to change quickly, from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres.

Blowing and drifting snow may be a problem later today, if the wind gets stronger.

The OPP slogan "If You See Snow - Go Slow" certainly applies. Reduce your driving speed, and make sure all the windows on your vehicle have good visibility.
