Water Restrictions Lifted At Marl Lake And Lake Rosalind

Residents of Marl Lake and Lake Rosalind can finally drink the water again.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit says results from samples taken November 24 by the Ministry of Environment still show the presence of microcystins in both lakes.

However, the results from both lakes show levels are below the maximum allowable drinking water concentration of 1.5 micrograms/litre.

The advisory issued in the summer recommended residents do not use the lake water for bathing, as a source of potable water, or eat fish from the lakes.
