The shrine to baseball in St. Marys presents the award each year to a member of the media who has made significant contributions to baseball in Canada through their life's work.
In a release the Hall's director of operations, Scott Crawford says "as the Blue Jays beat writer for the Globe and Mail, his work was read and savoured by baseball fans - including myself - from coast to coast for close to three decades."
Crawford goes on to say "we are proud to recognize a writer of his outstanding caliber with this award."
Millson graduated from Ryerson University and began his journalism career at the Hamilton Spectator in 1964. He also wrote for the St. Catharines Standard, Toronto Star and the Toronto Telegram.
The Hall will release details in the coming months on when Millson will be presented with the 2016 Jack Graney Award.
