Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says the government's fall economic statement shows the Liberal's are spiraling deeper into a fiscal fantasy world.
Thompson says Ontario is in a dire fiscal state, and residents of Huron Bruce continue to find life unaffordable.
Thompson believes that means the quality of life for residents will continue to erode with the high cost of electricity, and longer surgery wait times.
She says the province's net debt will rise by over $64-billion within four years to a record $370-billion.
She says the government is artificially balancing the budget by reducing a contingency reserve by $600-million and and the one time sale of provincial assets for another $800-million.
"The Liberal government doesn't have a definitive plan to correct the path their mismanagement has dragged us into. They may have no choice but to continue to explore the sale of additional government assets; higher taxes; or continued cuts to front-line services. Unfortunately, life will continue to get harder under this Liberal government," concluded Thompson.
