So far this month, Perth County OPP have attended an average of two car/deer collisions every day in the county.
November usually averages 55 deer collisions for the month in Perth County, so motorists need to be vigilant.
The OPP says deer are moving around more as it is mating season. Peak collision times are between 5am and 7am, and between 5pm and 11pm.
Drivers need to slow down and use caution in areas with high deer populations, especially where yellow wildlife warnings signs are posted.
Motorists should scan the road ahead shoulder to shoulder, and use high beams if possible to reflect the eyes of animals.
Never Veer for Deer, just break firmly while staying in control.
