A Kincardine couple is celebrating a $100,000 Encore win.
Andrew and Gisella Watson matched six of the seven winning numbers in the Encore draw from an August 27 Lotto 649 ticket.
“We took the ticket to the store and used the ticket checker to see if it was a winner. I was shocked! At this point I thought we won $100 so I handed the ticket to the retailer for validation," says Gisella. "Andrew was waiting outside and didn’t know what was taking so long. I waved him in. When we shared the news with our daughters they started screaming for joy.”
Andrew jokes their daughters already had plans for the win.
That includes a visit to the Mediterranean and helping to send their daughters to university.
The couple has been playing for nearly 30 years, and they were shocked to learn they won.
