A funding review by the Ministry of Natural Resources could have an impact on local conservation authority Water Response Teams.
Alec Scott of the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority says the ministry has helped cover some of their costs, ever since the team was formed in 2001.
Scott feels the biggest change might be that staff time for organizing meetings and providing communications will no longer be covered. Beyond that, he's not sure how the review might change the Water Response Team's program or if the program will simply be delivered in a different way.
They hope to learn more in the next few months.
