The artist who submits the winning sculpture to mark Bruce County's 150th anniversary in 2017 will win $10,000.
The piece should celebrate the history of the county, and will be displayed publicly in a yet to be chosen location.
Judges will choose a winner by next February, and the piece will be unveiled in the fall of 2017.
The sculpture should reflect the county's branding, and survive the next 50 years.
It should enliven a Bruce County public space and commemorate the connections of all the towns, municipalities and First Nation Communities in Bruce County.
The sculpture might include a Human of Bruce County, a ruce Explorer of the past or present—or future-- interacting with energy and movement in
their environment be it in our beautiful natural geography or significant man-made features of Bruce County.
The winning sculpture will be selected in a tiered selection process beginning with members of the 150 th Committee using a pre-determined points scorecard, then a judging by artistic peers by
select members of the Bruce Peninsula Art Society and Bruce Peninsula Co-op Gallery in Ferndale.
