Shotgun Stolen From Truck In Huron County

Police are investigating after a 12 gauge shotgun was stolen from a pickup truck in Huron County.

The OPP report that on Saturday around 12:30pm, the owner of the GMC Sierra pickup truck parked his vehicle at the Hullett Provincial Wildlife Area on Summerhill Road  and went for a walk. When he returned a couple hours later, the owner found a window had been smashed out of the truck.

The shotgun and a medium sized camouflaged bag that contained two and a half boxes of shotgun shells were stolen from the vehicle.   A lanyard with various duck calls was also stolen.

The shotgun is valued at around $1,800, and is described as a mossy oak camo-coloured Browning Maxus with a 12 inch long barrel. It was stored inside a camo cloth bag with a cable lock through the action.
