The 2016 Great Lakes Public Forum takes place next week in Toronto.
The forum at Exhibition Place in Toronto will feature presentations by Canadian and American water experts
It will include representatives from the government's of Canada, The United States, state and provincial agencies, municipalities, first nations and watershed management agencies.
Topics will range from the current state of the Great Lakes, the clean up of areas of concern, implementation of Lakewide Management Plans, Chemicals of mutual concern, and ground water quality.
The forum will also address habitat and species protection, climate change, and the growing problem of nutrient loading creating toxic algae.
The forum takes place at the AllStream Centre From October 4th to the 6th.
It will be preceded on Monday October 3rd by a public forum looking at the threat of Asian Carp to the Great Lakes.
