Plans Already In Store For 2017 IPM In Huron County

The torch is being passed this weekend from the hosts of the 2016 International Plowing Match in Wellington County to the hosts of the 2017 IPM in Huron County.

Marketing Co-ordinator Emily Morrison explains the 2016 match comes to a close and the Entertainment Committee for the 2017 match have organized a convoy that will leave the site of the Wellington match on Sunday, and make its way to Huron County.

Morrison says they'll be leaving Harriston around 11am Sunday morning and they expect the convoy will have about sixty floats including tractors. They'll arrive at the Brussels Arena around four in the afternoon for a dinner around 5:30pm, and after dinner they're previewing some of the talent they've booked for the 2017 IPM.

Morrison says anyone is welcome to join the convoy from Harriston or they can pick it up at the Brussels Livestock, and make the trip from there to the arena. More information can be found on the 2017 International Plowing Match web site.
