Cyclones Down Dutchmen; Are Now 6-0

The Listowel Cyclones remain unbeaten at 6-0 in the GOJHL as they defeated Kitchener 5-2.

Holdyn Lansink scored a hat trick for the second game in a row. He netted two goals in the first period and another in the second. Blake Nichol also scored in the second putting the Cyclones up 4-0 heading into the third.

David Kiss and Luke Bignell scored back-to-back goals for Kitchener less than a minute apart to put the Dutchmen on the board in the final frame. Nichol added his second goal of the game in the final three minutes of play.

Jakob Lee led the Cyclones in assists with three last night. Danny Skinner, Mitch Deelstra, Caleb Warren, Max Coyle and Chayse Herrfort all had assists for Listowel.

Brock Baier stopped 26 shots to earn the win. Baier is topped ranked goalie in the league right now at 4-0 with GAA of 1.00.

Lansink is the top scorer in the league with 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points. Lee is second with 3 goals 14 assists for 17 points.
