Hanover Crime Rate Is Lower

The Town of Hanover has seen the crime rate drop over 9% between 2014 and 2015.

Hanover saw 32% fewer violent crimes last year, and 16 per cent fewer property crimes.

Drug offences dropped 33 per cent from 2011 to 2015.

Hanover Police Sergeant Jason Rahn credits effective community policing strategies and increased community awareness.

The Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics gathered and analyzed the crime numbers and released the Uniformed Crime Reporting Survey.
