United Way Perth-Huron Announces 2016/2017 Campaign Cabinet

United Way Perth-Huron has announced that Andrew Williams will remain at the helm in the second year of his commitment to the three-year campaign.  He is heading up a cabinet of 20 volunteers from various sectors in Perth and Huron counties.

Williams commented on the campaign ahead, saying that working for today’s United Way means stepping out of the traditional role as fundraisers and stepping into a new one as "catalysts of change."

The United Way Perth-Huron campaign officially launches on Friday, September 16 at a kickoff lunch presented by Sun Life Financial and prepared by The Local Community Food Centre.  Proceeds benefit 47 supported partner services across Huron and Perth counties.

The lunch is at The Kiwanis Centre in Stratford from 11:30am to 1pm. Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 in advance. To reserve tickets call 519 271 7730 or email crusello@perthhuron.unitedway.ca.

Wayne Smith, a longtime volunteer of United Way, is returning to cabinet as chair advisor. He served as co-chair in 2014.

Representing the agriculture division is Shelley Groenestege (chair), Gary West and Doug McDougald.

The education sector is represented by Merlin Leis (chair), Martin Ritsma, Robin Rutherford, Ann Cook, Robert Parkinson, and Shelley Blackmore, who doubles as the North Perth representative.

Ron Shaw heads up varied municipal efforts of cabinet as municipal chair.

Other chairs include Anne Martin (healthcare division), Judd Attridge (professional division), Tracey Brown (commerce division), Joanie Gerber (business division), Bonnie Henderson (labour division), Joanne McArdle (industrial division), Shawn Malvern (commerce division), and Mimi Price (community service division).
