The Township of Mapleton is developing a community improvement plan.
Economic Development Coordinator Jaclyn Dingwall says while the goals aren't totally defined yet, there are general things the plan will target.
"In a general sense, community improvement plans can focus on stimulating local economic development, assisting with downtown main street revitalization and beautification efforts, and supporting new and existing business opportunities including agricultural and agri-business opportunities," she says.
An info session will be held October 13 at PMD Arena in Drayton, and Dingwall says they will be looking for feedback from the public.
"There will be a question and answer period for those in attendance if they have any questions they want to ask," says Dingwall. "There will also be a comment forum for those in attendance as well, and we will also have that available on our website."
