An 11-year old from Brussels will get a chance to spread a message about kidney disease at a fundraiser tomorrow.
Christopher Pennington is the honourary chair of the first Goderich Kidney Walk and will be at a BBQ at Scrimgeour's in Blyth tomorrow to help raise awareness and some money.
Pennington has an auto-immune disorder called HSP that can cause chronic kidney disease.
But Pennington says it hasn't stopped him from doing what he enjoys.
"I play hockey and baseball and I wear a back protector, kidney protector," says Pennington.
The BBQ tomorrow is 10am to 2pm at Scrimgeour's in Blyth.
The Goderich Kidney Walk is September 11 at 10am at the Goderich Waterfront Boardwalk Pavillion 4. Registration is at 9am.
