Mount Forest will see signs of the 2017 Homecoming sprouting up in September.
The signs will be erected at the four entrances to Mount Forest. Wellington North has also agreed to a request from the Homecoming Committee for the use of municipal land somewhere in Mount Forest for dry camping without water and sewer services.
Wellington North also gave a $9,000 loan to a group producing a history book for the Mount Forest Homecoming in 2017.
Homecoming Chair Richard MacVicar told council the group hopes to have the 200-page book ready for Christmas sales.
MacVicar says the loan will be paid back from book sales within one year.
