Minto Lifts Burn Ban

Minto Fire has lifted the ban on open air burning thanks to the significant rainfall.

However, residents should still follow burning regulations, and must call to obtain a permit for fires larger than 3 metres diameter by 3 metres in height.

Small contained cooking fires are allowed without a permit, but fire officials ask residents to use caution.

The long overdue rain has a number of midwestern Ontario communities dropping their burn bans, including Lucknow, Huron County and South Bruce Peninsula.
