Small Recreational Fires Now Allowed In South Bruce Peninsula

Residents in South Bruce Peninsula can once again enjoy small recreational campfires.

While officials have lifted the ban on all open fires, certain conditions do remain in place.

Recreational fires are now allowed but must be inside a non-combustible burning device no bigger than 2 ft by 2 ft by 2 ft, and must be supervised and properly extinguished.

Fireworks are still not allowed and strictly prohibited.

A ban remains in place for all other opening burning practices until further notice.
