With the mercury expected to rise well into the high 30's over the next few days, Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Heat Warning.
Officials are expecting temperatures to reach into the 40 degree Celsius mark and say this could be the longest and most significant heat wave of the summer so far.
The Town of South Bruce Peninsula along with the Grey Bruce Health Unit have also issued their own Heat Warnings.
The hot weather conditions can increase the risk of heat related illnesses in certain people like the very young, elderly, those with health conditions and people outside working in the heat.
Drink plenty of water or cool liquids to decrease your risk of dehydration and never leave pets inside a hot vehicle at any time.
