The Mayor of Central Huron says his council wants to take a wait and see approach to the idea of sharing services.
Jim Ginn says Central Huron has been involved in discussions with Bluewater, Huron East and South Huron about the possibility of sharing services.
Ginn explains they've been looking at the agreement between North Huron and Morris-Turnberry as a possible model. But Ginn points out that's a major sharing agreement and it may be the way to go but his council wants to wait for a year or two and see how that works out.
Ginn adds Central Huron is already sharing some services with other municipalities on a one-off basis and those would include things like animal control, bylaw enforcement, building inspectors and fire departments.
