Wellington North Developers Forum Followup

Wellington North council has a special meeting scheduled for Thursday to discuss the results of a developers forum held earlier this year.

That meeting raised issues ranging from development charges to customer-friendly service by the township.

Among other things, Wellington North is looking to set municipal standards to provide guidance for large residential developments. Meanwhile, new construction continues strong in the Township.

To the end of May, 128 building permits worth $14.9-million had been issued.  That compares to the ten year average for the same period of 112 permits worth $11.8-million.

Leading the way in new construction for the month of May this year was five new single family homes worth $1.9-million, followed by five agricultural permits worth $1.1-million.
