The Avon Maitland District School Board is launching its new summer program for international students today.
There are seventy students enrolled in the Capture Canada program - from as far away as Spain, Italy, Korea, China, and Taiwan.
It offers visits of two, three, or four weeks. Some of the students will be staying at Camp Kintail, north of Goderich for a week. There will also be excursions to places like Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Canada's Wonderland.
The Board's International Education Administrator Steve Howe explains the instruction and exposure to the English language and the Canadian culture makes it easier for students who decided they want to come back for the school year.
Howe also points out that the students who really enjoy the experience will their friends when they go back home, so it's great promotion for Canada and for Huron and Perth counties.
