A long-time supporter of the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation has come through with a big pledge.
The Wingham Sportsman Association has committed $25,000 over five years to the Foundation’s 'Our Hospital, Our Future' campaign.
The Sportsman Association supports a variety of Wingham hospital initiatives, including The Great Race, Radiothon and Health Professionals Recruitment.
The 'Our Hospital, Our Future' campaign has raised over 70 per cent of the $4 million goal.
All pledges and donations go towards the expansion of six departments within the Wingham and District Hospital, the replacement of digital imaging equipment, and the creation of a community healthcare campus.
Doug Neil along with fellow Sportsmen members Luke Lockridge and Dan and Scott McPherson presented the $25,000 donation to Campaign Chair Mark Foxton at their clubhouse on Royal Road in Wingham.
Foxton said, "it's great to see service clubs coming forward with significant donations. We are lucky to have so many active clubs like the Sportsmen in our area".
