The Owen Sound Attack selected forward Maxim Sushko with their first round pick in the CHL Import Draft yesterday.
The 17-year-old from Belarus scored 37 goals and 29 assists in 17 games for the DYUSSH Shakhter U18 team in 2014/15.
Sushko finished third in the Division 1A World Under 18 Hockey Championships with 6 points in 5 games as an underage player.
In a release, Attack General Manager Dale DeGray says "we targeted an offensive players and we believe we got one of the best 17-year-olds in the import draft."
Sushko joins Petrus Palmu as the Attacks two import players.
