Owen Sound firefighters remain on the scene of a residential house fire in the 900 block of 6th Avenue East.
The fire was reported around 4:00 this morning. The two storey brick and siding structure was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.
Police assisted with the removal of vehicles parked on the street to accommodate fire trucks from Owen Sound and the Inter Township Fire Department.
The property is believed to be vacant, however, emergency services are still trying to locate the owner for confirmation.
Motorists are asked to avoid travelling along 6th Avenue East between 9th Street and 10th Street.
Because of the suspicious nature of the fire, the Fire Marshall’s office has been asked to come to the scene.
